I hope menus load instantly in the sequel. This needs to be improved in the next game. This makes visibility poor, especially on console with heavy ant-aliasing. It’s like the post-processing the game uses is limiting bright lights to shade 220 out of 256 or something. Lights and even the sun look much dimmer than other games. In this game the contrast seems to be heavily compressed. Lights in most games peak at the maximum shade of 256. Common practice in most games is to use the full range. The coded turning circle on controller is a bit too low.įull RGB 8-bit colour has 256 shades per colour (RGB). I’ve always thought most cars in the game had an understeer problem using a controller and this is the reason. Apparently there’s a PC mod to get the large turning circle of a steering wheel, mapped to the controller analogue stick. But one area I’ve found lacking a bit is turning circle. The controls are fairly good in The Crew 2 once tweaked.
